Here's The Best Information On Bamboo Plants

I have what might be called a brown thumb. Unlike some people who are good with plants, practically everything I touch dies. There is no other way to explain it. I know how to water plants, care for them, and how to feed them, but they still do not do well under my care. The only things that I can get to work are cactii and bamboo plants.

When I first got a lucky bamboo plant as a present, I was a little bit disappointed. It seemed like another victim to be in my ever growing collection of dead plants. Yet, when six months later my bamboo plant was still alive, I was overjoyed. I immediately got several other bamboo plants. They were so cool. There is no art whatsoever to how to plant bamboo. You just stick it in there, put in some water, and it is growing. They grow quickly in a variety of environments, and require very little attention.

One of the neatest things about bamboo plants is the ease with which you can shape them. You can induce a bamboo plant to grow in to almost any shape you want. A lot of people enjoy growing bamboo around wire armatures. They can induce the bamboo plants to grow in curves and bends.  You can even combine multiple bamboo plants to get elaborate shapes.

Of course, you can keep your bamboo plants as small as you want to, or grow them large. When we were kids, we would go out and harvest wild bamboo to make forts. The stuff is incredibly strong. The bamboo plants formed the roof, walls, supports, and the flooring of our play house. We didn't even need help to make it. We simply used bamboo plants and some twine. That was literally all we needed to make our fort!

Aside from being strong, bamboo plants are also very beautiful. That is why bamboo floors are becoming so popular nowadays. If you have a bamboo floor in your house, it will practically last forever. When you see bamboo plants from outside, you would not imagine how beautiful the interior is once they are fully matured and carefully treated. Bamboo flooring really is spectacular.  It seems that, more and more, my life has been based around the plant. With bamboo growing in every room, and bamboo floors quickly spreading, it is hard to find a single room where that grass does not grow!
